Grinding Gear Games details the fixes coming to Curse of the Allflame

Shortly after the league's launch, GGG lists the problems it's fixing in Path of Exile: Charts and Voyages, Abyss encounters, and permanent mercenaries all get tweaks over the coming days.
Grinding Gear Games has shared an overview of the issues it spotted in Curse of the Allflame, the Path of Exile league we covered recently, along with the list of fixes and tweaks it's already lining up. It's the studio's usual move at the start of a league: listen to the community and fine-tune the new mechanics before they settle in. Here's the rundown of what's changing.
Charts and Voyages: more rewards, less friction
The new content was what needed the most polish: GGG admits the rewards were insufficient and that building Voyages was too much of a hassle. To fix it they'll add new chests to the loot pools, unlock Ducat crafting earlier in progression, and simplify Voyage construction. They're also lowering the frequency of crab nests and adding more currency, scarabs, stacked decks, and map chests as scattered objects so exploring pays off more.
Abyss and permanent mercenaries
The Abyss encounters are on the workbench too: they'll improve the rewards, adjust combat density, and rework the encounter design so they feel better. On the other side, the permanent mercenaries from the Luminary ascendancy were falling short — a lot of investment for too little damage. GGG will remove the concentrated-damage penalty before level 45, cap the maximum penalty at level 83, and scale attack damage more effectively, aiming to make the mechanic more fun and rewarding.
The studio notes that not everything will arrive at once: some changes need a patch rather than a hotfix, so the improvements will roll out over the next few days. If you're playing the league, keep an eye on the patch notes. The full details are in the MMORPG.com report.
