Throne and Liberty Wakes Ramux and Fine-Tunes Nix With the Community's Wishlist

The next Archboss arrives on July 30 riding her dragon, and the team published a concrete list of Nix region improvements born from player feedback.

Throne and Liberty is heading into a big week. On July 30, Ramux, the next Archboss, arrives riding her dragon Atirat. Alongside the fight, the team used the July 23 Resistance Report to lay out a concrete list of improvements for the Nix region, all born from player feedback since The Frozen Divide launched. New boss up top, quality of life down below: the classic combo of an MMO that looks after itself.

Ramux and Atirat: the first two-phase Archboss

This is the game's first two-phase Archboss. In the first phase, Ramux fights atop Atirat and rains down ice; in the second, she absorbs the dragon's power and carries on solo. The encounter takes place in the Cavern of Eternal Void: Primorad, in Stillreach, where the pair were once sealed away and now return "with an obsession not even death could break." One tactical detail promises to define the fight: a ballista on the field, perfectly tuned to bring the dragon down… as long as the group can actually use it while Ramux does everything she can to stop them.

For rewards, Ramux drops new endgame weapons. And so progression doesn't break, the existing Ascended Archboss weapons get value-preservation adjustments rather than going obsolete overnight — a nod to players who already sank time into the gear they own.

Nix gets fine-tuned with what the community asked for

Ever since The Frozen Divide released, the Nix region has piled up complaints, and the team answered with targeted changes. Instanced field events are dropping their minimum player count to 3-6, so small groups can take part without being locked out. On top of that, completion times are being evened out: right now some events take up to nine times longer than others, and that inconsistency is getting fixed.

Tumgir Hollow gets a full pass: less crowd control from the monsters, new structures to cluster enemies closer together, and entry buffs paired with performance-based bonuses. The goal is for the place to stop punishing players and start rewarding the group's effort.

A classic annoyance is going away too: you'll no longer need to run the same content twice to purify Redfrost gear. And several activities are cutting the number of players required, so you get in faster and spend less time waiting at the door.

What it means for the community

It's the combination that tends to work in a living MMO: a big fight that gives everyone something to talk about, and quality-of-life changes that cut down the daily friction. The Archboss will be the exam for endgame groups; the Nix improvements, by contrast, aim to make getting there less of a slog. We'll have to see it live to know whether the ballista and the two phases are as well-tuned as they sound. All the fine print lives in the July 23 Resistance Report and the official Ramux page.
