ESO Tunes Werewolf and Opens a Vengeance Item Set Test

The second incremental patch for Update 50 is live on every platform: Werewolf kit tweaks, a week-long item set test in the Vengeance campaign, and a batch of fixes left over from Season One.
The Elder Scrolls Online has rolled out a new incremental patch on top of Update 50, now live across all platforms and service regions. It isn't a content drop — it's the kind of update that cleans up what a big launch leaves behind. And there were two big ones back to back here: Update 50 itself and Season One: Return of the Thieves Guild. The package hits three fronts — the Werewolf kit, the Vengeance PvP campaign, and a batch of assorted fixes — as reported by MMORPG.com based on the official patch notes.
Werewolf gets clearer from the intro quest
The Werewolf rework was one of Update 50's headline features, and this patch targets a presentation problem rather than a numbers one: the intro quest now grants temporary access to Gnash, Rending Claws and Hircine's Bounty. The point is that anyone transforming for the first time gets a feel for how the full kit flows instead of discovering it piecemeal hours later. Small change on the quest log, big change on the first impression.
On the mechanical side, ZeniMax fixed a case where some Werewolf effects could stack unintentionally, repaired Feeding Frenzy's 6% damage bonus — which simply wasn't applying — and, to offset that fix, brought Feral Cruelty down to 10|20% (5|10% against players) from the previous 12|25%. Audio and timing errors on several abilities were also cleaned up, including the impact FX on Bloodclaws. A welcome detail for anyone who had cured lycanthropy or vampirism: the intro quests can now be replayed.
Vengeance: item set test from July 20 to 27
The most experimental part of the patch is in PvP. From July 20 to 27, an Item Set test runs inside the Vengeance campaign, which became a permanent fixture with Update 50. The goal isn't balance but engineering: measuring how the 5th-piece bonus affects server performance under Vengeance's special ruleset.
Watch the fine print: 2- to 4-piece bonuses will display as active but stay inactive for the duration of the test. In other words, if you build around an intermediate set effect, it won't respond. On top of that, Gray Host and Blackreach will remain closed while the test runs, unless performance issues force them back open. If Cyrodiil is your daily routine, plan the week accordingly.
Assorted fixes and what it all means
Away from PvP and claws, the patch fixes personality animations that weren't displaying properly, a delightfully odd dislocated-elbow bug when jumping from idle, and — more relevant if you're chasing rewards — the "Complete Any Undaunted Quest" task in Golden Pursuits, which now properly tracks when you finish Undaunted activities.
Taken together, it's the classic post-season maintenance patch: nothing that reshapes the meta, but plenty that had been broken since Season One launched on July 8 and that was quietly eating into daily routines.
